Description
A delicious and easy recipe for baked honey Dijon chicken that is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme until well combined.
- Place the chicken thighs in a large baking dish and pour the honey Dijon mixture over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Baste the chicken with the sauce halfway through cooking for extra flavor.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a crispy skin, broil the chicken for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking.
- For a twist, substitute maple syrup for honey for a different flavor profile.
- Add a tablespoon of soy sauce for an Asian-inspired version.
