Description

A quick and delicious recipe for broiled salmon with a savory miso glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your broiler on high. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the miso paste, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic until smooth.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Spread the miso mixture evenly over the top of each fillet.
  4. Broil the salmon for 6-8 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
  5. Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a minute. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of sriracha to the miso mixture.
  • You can substitute the salmon with other fish like trout or cod for a different flavor profile.
