A delicious twist on classic meatloaf, combining the flavors of a cheeseburger.

- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1/2 cup additional ketchup for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup ketchup, diced onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and mustard powder. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf.
- Spread the additional 1/2 cup of ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F.
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
- For a twist, try adding diced pickles or cooked bacon bits into the meat mixture for extra flavor.
- You can also substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
