Description
A delicious and creamy garlic shrimp dish with Parmesan cheese, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat them in the creamy sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding a splash of lemon juice or zest to the sauce before serving.
- You can substitute the shrimp with chicken or scallops for a different protein option.
