Description
Crispy Dry Rub Chicken Wings are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or main dish, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 pounds chicken wings
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, oregano, and thyme. Mix well to form a dry rub.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure they get crispy. Add the wings to the bowl with the dry rub and toss until they are evenly coated.
- Arrange the coated wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the wings from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy them plain or with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil the wings for an additional 2-3 minutes at the end of baking.
- If you prefer a spicier flavor, increase the cayenne pepper or add a dash of hot sauce to the dry rub.
- For a different twist, try adding some grated Parmesan cheese to the dry rub for a cheesy flavor.
