Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup honey mustard dressing
- 8 ounces sliced mushrooms
- 8 ounces cooked bacon, chopped
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from heat.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until tender.
- Place the browned chicken breasts in a baking dish. Drizzle the honey mustard dressing over each piece of chicken.
- Top each chicken breast with sautéed mushrooms, chopped bacon, and shredded Monterey Jack cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the spice mixture.
- Substitute the honey mustard dressing with a barbecue sauce for a different flavor profile.
