- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 8 small flour or corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Stir in the honey, BBQ sauce, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the shredded chicken to the skillet and toss to coat it evenly in the sauce. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is heated through.
- While the chicken is cooking, warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until pliable.
- To assemble the tacos, place a generous portion of the BBQ chicken mixture on each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped cilantro.
- Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the chicken mixture.
- To make it a complete meal, serve with a side of Mexican rice or black beans.
