Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- For the Tzatziki Sauce:
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cucumber, grated and excess water squeezed out
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, onion, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and egg. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the meatballs and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and golden brown.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In a medium bowl, mix together the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Once the meatballs are done, serve them warm with the tzatziki sauce on the side.
Notes
- For added flavor, try adding feta cheese to the meatball mixture.
- If you prefer a spicier kick, incorporate some red pepper flakes into the meatball mix.
- Serve the meatballs over a bed of quinoa or with pita bread for a complete meal.
