Description
A delicious and easy recipe for chicken breasts that are tender and flavorful, perfect for any meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 pounds)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of each chicken breast.
- In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Add butter and lemon juice to the skillet, spooning the melted butter over the chicken.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the spice mixture and olive oil for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
- Try adding a splash of balsamic vinegar or a sprinkle of parmesan cheese before baking for a different flavor profile.
