A refreshing twist on the classic margarita made with fresh passion fruit juice.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh passion fruit juice (about 1012 passion fruits)
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1/2 cup orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2 limes)
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice
  • Lime wedges and salt for rimming glasses (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing your glasses. If desired, run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip it into salt to coat the rim. Set aside.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the fresh passion fruit juice, tequila, orange liqueur, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. Stir well to mix all the ingredients.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in the margarita mixture. Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses filled with ice.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of each glass and serve immediately.
