Description
A delicious recipe for Peach Glazed Chicken Thighs that combines sweet and savory flavors for a delightful meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 1.5 pounds)
- 1 cup fresh peaches, diced (about 2 medium peaches)
- 1/4 cup peach preserves
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the diced peaches, peach preserves, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create the glaze.
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Rub the olive oil over the chicken and season with a little extra salt and pepper.
- Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for about 5-7 minutes until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
- Flip the chicken thighs over and pour the peach glaze over them, ensuring they are well coated.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Remove the skillet from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier glaze, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the peach mixture.
- Substitute chicken thighs with chicken breasts for a leaner option, adjusting the cooking time as needed to ensure they remain juicy.
