Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
- 36 chocolate kisses (unwrapped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, and flour.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the peanut butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
- Roll each ball in granulated sugar until fully coated.
- Place the sugar-coated balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For a twist, try adding 1/2 cup of chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the dough for added texture.
- You can also substitute the chocolate kisses with caramel candies for a different flavor profile.
