A delicious and easy recipe for roasted mushrooms infused with garlic and thyme, perfect as a side dish or appetizer.
Ingredients

- 16 ounces of fresh mushrooms (such as cremini or button), cleaned and halved
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons of fresh thyme leaves (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the halved mushrooms, olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the mushrooms are well coated.
- Spread the mushroom mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender.
- If using balsamic vinegar, drizzle it over the mushrooms during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
- You can also substitute the thyme with rosemary or parsley for a different herb profile.
