Description

A delicious and easy recipe for roasted mushrooms infused with garlic and thyme, perfect as a side dish or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces of fresh mushrooms (such as cremini or button), cleaned and halved
  • 4 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh thyme leaves (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the halved mushrooms, olive oil, minced garlic, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the mushrooms are well coated.
  3. Spread the mushroom mixture in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender.
  5. If using balsamic vinegar, drizzle it over the mushrooms during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
  • You can also substitute the thyme with rosemary or parsley for a different herb profile.
