Description
A flavorful and easy recipe for Skillet Bang Bang Chicken Thighs, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken thighs and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F).
- While the chicken is cooking, in a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha until well combined.
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Slice the chicken thighs and drizzle the bang bang sauce over the top. Toss to coat if desired.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds, if using. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crunch, consider adding crushed peanuts or panko breadcrumbs to the chicken before cooking.
- Substitute chicken thighs with chicken breasts for a leaner option, adjusting cooking time as needed.
