- 1 pound ground chicken or turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 sandwich rolls or hoagie buns
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 medium tomato, sliced
- 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
- Optional: hot sauce for serving
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken or turkey, breadcrumbs, green onions, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the sandwich rolls on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble the sandwiches by placing a patty on each roll, then topping with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles.
- Drizzle with hot sauce if desired, then close the sandwich and serve immediately.
Notes
- For added flavor, mix in some chopped fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro into the patty mixture.
- Substitute ground beef or pork for the chicken or turkey for a different taste and texture.
