Description

A refreshing and delightful Strawberry Matcha Latte that combines the sweetness of strawberries with the earthy flavor of matcha.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the sliced strawberries and honey (or maple syrup). Blend until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, pulse a few times instead of blending completely.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the matcha powder and water until smooth and fully combined. You can use a matcha whisk or a regular whisk.
  3. In a glass, layer the strawberry puree at the bottom.
  4. If using ice, add a few ice cubes on top of the strawberry layer.
  5. Slowly pour the milk over the strawberry layer.
  6. Finally, gently pour the prepared matcha on top of the milk. You can use a spoon to help layer it if desired.
  7. For a finishing touch, add whipped cream on top if you like, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, use whole milk or a full-fat non-dairy milk.
  • You can also substitute the strawberries with other berries like raspberries or blueberries for a different flavor.
  • Adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more or less honey or maple syrup.
