Description

A delicious Tater Tot Breakfast Bowl topped with savory sausage gravy, perfect for a hearty breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thin (about 4 cups)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup French fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  3. In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes on the bottom.
  4. Add half of the chopped onion and half of the green beans.
  5. Pour half of the soup mixture over the vegetables, then sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, onions, green beans, soup mixture, and cheese.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and sprinkle the French fried onions on top.
  9. Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the casserole is bubbly and golden brown.
  10. Let the casserole cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, substitute half of the milk with sour cream.
  • For a healthier option, use low-fat cheese and a reduced-fat cream of mushroom soup.
