Description
A delightful blend of black tea, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon that can be enjoyed hot or iced.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons black tea leaves or 2 tea bags
- 1 cup milk (whole, almond, or oat)
- 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Ice (if serving iced)
- Cinnamon sticks (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea leaves or tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes for a strong flavor.
- Strain the tea leaves or remove the tea bags and return the brewed tea to the saucepan.
- Add the milk, honey or sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to the tea. Stir well to combine.
- Place the saucepan back on low heat and warm the mixture until hot, but do not let it boil. Stir occasionally.
- For iced tea, allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then pour over ice in a glass.
- For hot tea, pour the mixture into a mug.
- Garnish with a cinnamon stick if desired and enjoy!
Notes
- To enhance the flavor, try adding a splash of nutmeg or a few drops of almond extract for a different twist.
- For a creamier texture, use whole milk or a milk alternative like coconut milk.
