Description

A delightful blend of black tea, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon that can be enjoyed hot or iced.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons black tea leaves or 2 tea bags
  • 1 cup milk (whole, almond, or oat)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Ice (if serving iced)
  • Cinnamon sticks (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea leaves or tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes for a strong flavor.
  2. Strain the tea leaves or remove the tea bags and return the brewed tea to the saucepan.
  3. Add the milk, honey or sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to the tea. Stir well to combine.
  4. Place the saucepan back on low heat and warm the mixture until hot, but do not let it boil. Stir occasionally.
  5. For iced tea, allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then pour over ice in a glass.
  6. For hot tea, pour the mixture into a mug.
  7. Garnish with a cinnamon stick if desired and enjoy!

Notes

  • To enhance the flavor, try adding a splash of nutmeg or a few drops of almond extract for a different twist.
  • For a creamier texture, use whole milk or a milk alternative like coconut milk.
