- 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup bourbon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, lemon juice, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Toss until the peaches are well coated.
- Transfer the peach mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt.
- Pour in the melted butter and bourbon, stirring until the mixture is crumbly.
- Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the peaches.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
- Let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a nutty flavor, add 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts to the topping mixture.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
