  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips semi-sweet or milk chocolate
  • 1 cup red white, and blue sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy and well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkles, being careful not to overmix.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
