Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the sauce by whisking together soy sauce and brown sugar in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken thighs until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Lower heat and add minced garlic and ginger to the skillet, stirring for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the sauce and chicken broth to the skillet, stir well, and bring to a simmer, scraping browned bits from the bottom.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
