Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, chopped bacon, ranch dressing, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly coated.
Spread the chicken and bacon mixture evenly in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken and bacon mixture.
Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle sliced green onions on top before serving.
