In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken sausages and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the diced zucchini to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
Stir in the cherry tomatoes, minced garlic, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for another 3-4 minutes until the tomatoes are softened.
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, along with the reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until well combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
