Method

Step-by-Step Instructions for Crack Burgers
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine one pound of ground chuck, one packet of ranch dressing mix, crumbled cooked bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix gently until all ingredients are just combined to avoid tough burgers.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties, about ¾ inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each burger with your thumb.
  3. Preheat your grill or a large skillet over medium heat for 5-10 minutes, adding a little cooking oil if using a skillet.
  4. Carefully place the patties on the grill or skillet, cooking for 5-6 minutes on one side. Flip each patty and continue cooking for another 5-6 minutes until done.
  5. Add additional shredded cheddar cheese on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking, and let them rest for 2-3 minutes after cooking.
  6. Assemble your Crack Burgers on fresh, toasted buns with your favorite toppings, and serve immediately.
