For the Pasta
  • 8 ounces Penne Pasta Use gluten-free pasta for a gluten-free version.
For the Sauce
  • 2 cups Cooked Chicken Shredded rotisserie chicken works great for convenience.
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Use reduced-fat cream cheese for a low-fat version.
  • 1 packet Ranch Seasoning Mix Adjust seasoning based on taste preference.
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth Vegetable broth can be used for a non-meat version.
For the Toppings
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Use any favorite melting cheese for best results.
  • 6 slices Cooked Bacon Pancetta can be used as an alternative.
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped Green Onions Chives can serve as a substitute for garnish.

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Large skillet
  • Tongs
  • Large spoon

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to the package instructions, usually about 10–12 minutes. Once al dente, drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. In a large skillet, over medium heat, combine the cream cheese, ranch seasoning mix, and chicken broth. Stir continuously for about 3-5 minutes until melted and smooth.
  3. Add the shredded chicken and cooked bacon to the skillet. Stir gently and cook for another 3-4 minutes until heated through.
  4. Introduce the drained penne pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together using tongs to ensure the pasta is well-coated in the creamy sauce. Cook on medium heat for about 2 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top. Cover and reduce heat to low for about 3-5 minutes until melted.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve immediately.
