Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 1.5-quart casserole dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. If using, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese until well mixed.
  4. Pour the mixture into the greased casserole dish and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle half of the crispy fried onions on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle with the remaining crispy fried onions.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
