For the Apple Fries

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour or gluten-free flour
  • 2 large Eggs lightly beaten
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs or regular breadcrumbs

  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar

  • 1 cup Caramel Sauce
  • 1 cup Vanilla Yogurt customize with spices if desired

Equipment

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Start by washing and slicing the apples into ½ inch thick wedges, removing the core and seeds. Optionally peel the apples for a softer texture.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and granulated sugar thoroughly and set it aside.
  3. Set up three bowls for breading: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with half of the cinnamon-sugar mix.
  4. Dredge each apple wedge in the flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and roll in the breadcrumb mixture until coated.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
  6. Arrange the coated apple wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, spritz with cooking spray, and cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture over the hot apple fries and serve immediately with dipping sauces.
