Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, add the cottage cheese and drained, flaked tuna, stirring until they are thoroughly combined.
- Next, add the breadcrumbs, finely chopped green onions, diced red bell pepper, egg, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper into the bowl. Stir gently until the mixture becomes a cohesive batter.
- Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes at room temperature.
- While the mixture rests, place a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Allow the oil to heat for about 2 minutes.
- Using your hands, scoop out portions of the mixture and shape them into patties that are about 2-3 inches wide and ½ inch thick.
- Carefully place the formed patties into the hot skillet, frying them for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Once cooked to a golden brown, remove the cakes from the skillet and place them on paper towels to drain off any excess oil.
- Serve the cakes warm, optionally garnished with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes
These Cottage Cheese Tuna Cakes can easily be tailored for gluten-free diets. Don't skip the resting step, as it helps the mixture hold its shape when frying.
