- Prepare the Dough: Combine active dry yeast with warm water and let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until foamy. Mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and kosher salt into remaining water. Add egg yolk and foamy yeast mixture, stirring well.
- Mix the Dry Ingredients: Incorporate flour gradually into the wet mixture, mixing until the dough just comes together. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Allow the Dough to Rise: Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, covering it. Let it rise for around 30 minutes until doubled in size.
