For the Crunch and Topping
  • 3 cups Crushed Doritos or plain tortilla chips for milder taste
  • 3 cups Shredded Mozzarella or cheddar/cheese blend

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a large mixing bowl. Combine ground beef, Italian sausage, eggs, milk, and 2 cups of crushed Doritos.
  2. Press half of the meat mixture into a greased baking dish evenly.
  3. In a separate bowl, blend cream cheese, ranch dressing mix, and 1 tablespoon of milk until smooth. Spread evenly over the meat layer.
  4. Sprinkle diced green bell pepper and half of the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  5. Add the remaining meat mixture on top and press down firmly.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes until the meat is cooked through and edges are bubbly.
  7. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese and crushed Doritos over the top and bake for another 10 minutes.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
