In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the honey and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan(s) and smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 30-35 minutes for round cakes or 40-45 minutes for a 9x13 pan, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
