Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder.
  3. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into 2-inch wide strips.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling on one half of each pastry strip, fold over, and pinch the edges to seal.
  5. Transfer the twists to the baking sheet, beat the egg, and brush it over the tops of each twist.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed up, keeping an eye during the last few minutes.
  7. Let cool for a couple of minutes on a wire rack before serving with your favorite dipping sauces.
