- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry to about 1/4 inch thick and cut into 2-inch wide strips.
- Place a spoonful of filling on one half of each pastry strip, fold over, and pinch the edges to seal.
- Transfer the twists to the baking sheet, beat the egg, and brush it over the tops of each twist.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and puffed up, keeping an eye during the last few minutes.
- Let cool for a couple of minutes on a wire rack before serving with your favorite dipping sauces.
