Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 cup cooked rice white or brown
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli or any preferred vegetable
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  4. While the beef mixture is cooking, prepare your rice and steam the broccoli or your chosen vegetable.
  5. To serve, place a scoop of rice in a bowl, top with the Korean ground beef mixture, and add the steamed vegetables.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy your meal!
