In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, yeast, and salt. Mix well.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, melted butter, egg, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Roll the dough out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
Spread a thin layer of melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle with sugar and a little more lemon zest if desired.
Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 1-inch pieces.
Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for an additional 15 minutes.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
While the rolls are baking, mix the powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk to create a glaze.
Once the rolls are done, drizzle the glaze over them while they are still warm.
