  • 1 package Ready-Roll Puff Pastry Ensure it’s vegan and gluten-free.
  • 2 tablespoons Dairy-Free Milk For brushing the pastry.
For the Filling
  • 1 cup Vegan Nutella Rich chocolate spread.
  • 2 medium Bananas Or substitute with applesauce.
For Decoration
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar Optional for sweetness.
  • 1 pack Googly Eyes For decoration.
  • 1 cup Dairy-Free White Chocolate Buttons Or swap for dark chocolate.
  • 1 tablespoon Icing Sugar

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan) and line two baking trays with greaseproof paper.
  2. Lightly roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface, and cut into rectangles of approximately 4"x2.5".
  3. Pipe or spread a generous amount of vegan Nutella into the center of each rectangle, add banana slices, and brush edges with dairy-free milk.
  4. Lay narrow strips of pastry across the filling in a zig-zag pattern to create a mummy look.
  5. Brush the tops of the hand pies with more dairy-free milk and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
  6. Bake the hand pies for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
  7. Cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before adding decorations.
