  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Fresh mozzarella recommended.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Pecorino Romano can be used as a substitute.
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning Adjust amount to taste.

For Garnishing
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Basil Chopped for garnish.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté for 3–4 minutes until onions are translucent.
  4. Pour in marinara sauce and beef broth, then stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Fold in cheese-filled tortellini and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish, then transfer the tortellini mixture into it.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan over the mixture.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  9. After 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with freshly chopped basil.
