- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sauté for 3–4 minutes until onions are translucent.
- Pour in marinara sauce and beef broth, then stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Fold in cheese-filled tortellini and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish, then transfer the tortellini mixture into it.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan over the mixture.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with freshly chopped basil.
