Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and warm spices until smooth and well combined.
  2. Coat the chicken thighs generously with the prepared marinade, ensuring each piece is well-covered.
  3. Place the marinated chicken in a zip-top bag or shallow dish, and let it soak for at least 30 minutes at room temperature or refrigerate it overnight.
  4. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) while the chicken is marinating.
  5. Remove the marinated chicken from the fridge and place it in a greased baking dish. Pour any remaining marinade over the chicken.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  7. For an extra layer of flavor, optionally grill or broil the chicken for 2 minutes on each side.
  8. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, slice, and serve warm garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
