Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and ground ginger. Whisk until blended.
  3. Pat the chicken thighs dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  4. Marinate the chicken for at least 15 minutes in the marinade you've prepared, preferably 2 hours.
  5. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add chicken skin-side down and sear for 5–7 minutes.
  6. Flip the chicken and sear the other side for 2–3 minutes, then pour remaining marinade into the skillet.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20–25 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Baste the chicken with the glaze halfway through baking.
  9. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after baking.
  10. Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
