Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, smoked paprika, ground turmeric, ground cinnamon, salt, black pepper, and fresh lemon juice.
  2. Coat the chicken thighs thoroughly with the marinade, making sure each piece is evenly covered.
  3. Slice the red onion and spread it evenly at the bottom of the slow cooker. Arrange the marinated chicken thighs on top.
  4. Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it to cook on low for 4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, carefully shred the chicken thighs in the slow cooker and mix with the onions.
  6. Scoop the tender chicken into warm flatbreads and top with fresh garnishes.
