Preparation Steps
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the coleslaw mix, sliced Granny Smith apples, diced celery, and finely sliced green onions. Toss gently to mix well.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together apple cider vinegar, granulated sugar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, and red pepper flakes. Stir for about 3–5 minutes until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and gradually whisk in mayonnaise until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the warm dressing over the coleslaw mixture and toss gently to coat evenly.
  5. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  6. Before serving, give the salad a final toss and enjoy chilled.
