  1. Begin by removing the skin from your salmon fillet and cut it into 1-inch cubes. In a mixing bowl, combine the cubed salmon with teriyaki sauce and kosher salt. Allow it to marinate for about 10 minutes.
  2. While the salmon marinates, prepare a baking dish by pressing the cooked sushi rice into an even layer at the bottom.
  3. Spread the marinated salmon mixture evenly over the rice, then sprinkle garlic powder and brown sugar on top.
  4. Preheat your broiler to high and broil the baking dish for about 6 minutes until the salmon is opaque pink.
