A delicious and easy-to-make Pizza Tot Casserole that combines the flavors of pizza with crispy tater tots.

- 2 cups frozen tater tots
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 jar (14 ounces) pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder, mixing well to combine. Remove from heat.
- In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly across the bottom.
- Pour the pizza sauce over the beef, spreading it evenly.
- Layer the frozen tater tots on top of the pizza sauce, covering the entire surface.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the tater tots, followed by the sliced pepperoni and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add sliced jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes to the beef mixture.
- You can also substitute the ground beef with Italian sausage or turkey for a different flavor profile.
